Schedule: Full-time (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM with 30-minute unpaid break)
Client Timezone: EST
Overview:
The company provides online alcohol and drug addiction treatment. We are seeking a Bilingual Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical setting, be fluent in English and Spanish, and have excellent communication and customer service skills.
The client is expecting this staff to do the following:
Speak with new patients, both in Spanish and in English
Qualifying patients and ensuring they are a good fit for our program
Being able to run Verification of benefits for Insurance, set up patient charts
Scheduling new patient appointments
Conduct new patient orientations
Conduct, monitor patient lab tests, via video visit/call, to ensure that the patient is following procedures and securing tests properly and sending in mailing packages
Monitor patient’s blood pressure test via video visit
Greet and assist patients in a professional and friendly manner
Translate for patients who speak Spanish as their primary language
Follow HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Keep accurate patient records and perform other administrative tasks as needed
Requirements
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Medical Assistant certification or equivalent experience
-Fluency in Spanish and English
-Experience working in a medical setting
-Strong communication and customer service skills
-Ability to work well in a team environment
-Basic computer skills
-Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
Requerimientos
- Educación mínima: Bachillerato / Educación Media
- 5 años de experiencia
- Idiomas: Inglés
