Merchant Onboarding Specialist - B2B support

FasterPay is looking for a Merchant Onboarding Specialist, who wants to level up their career in the payment industry. If you are highly motivated and have experience in the merchant onboarding process, join our team in Bogota.

Responsibilities:
-Conduct thorough verification of merchant applications, including business model information and entity and ownership details, ensuring accurate and compliant entry of all required information.
-Assess and analyze potential risks associated with new merchant applications.
-Collaborate with the business development, account manager and merchant support teams to address any issues or concerns during the onboarding process.
-Provide merchants with clear guidance on the onboarding process, including required documentation and next steps.
-Monitor and manage the onboarding pipeline to ensure timely processing of applications.
-Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements, implementing necessary changes in the onboarding process.
-Develop and maintain onboarding documentation and training materials for internal and external use.
-Offer feedback and suggestions for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the onboarding process.

Skills & Competencies Required:
-Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
-Bachelor's degree in Compliance, Business, Finance, Legal or risk management, or a related field.
-Excellent written and verbal English.
-Preferably with 2 + years of experience in a similar role in the payment or financial services industry.
-Strong understanding of payment processing, merchant services, Customer Due Diligence and Anti-Money Laundering and counter-terrorism financing.
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
-Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
-Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
-Knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards in the payment industry.
-Exceptional data-gathering skills and resourcefulness;
